With the concept "Whenever there’s a light, there’s still hope". The cat suddenly finds out his ambition to catch the delicious giant fish. After many failures, the cat learned to reach his goal again until he got what he wished.
"Whenever there’s a light, there’s still hope” is a short animation won the award in student group “2nd Runner Up” of the Bangkok Projection Mapping Competition that been exhibit on June 12-20 2021. This projection mapping competition is part of Bangkok Design Week 2021 and the work was projected on the East Asiatique Building in Bangkok. To create visual content under the concept theme “Wish(Hope)”, adding value to the community and creating relationships between the communities and the visitors, present through projection mapping.
“Wish(hope)” is the magnificent power of imagination that hides under your feelings to motivate you to reach your ambition, waiting for you to conquer. Life is not easy but with the power of “Wish(hope)” created by you, you are the person who navigates to your success. Whether you facing a good or bad situation, take it as an experience, move forward, the more you do the better you know how to achieve your ambition.
Whenever there’s a light, there’s still hope uses a Siamese cat as the main character because of the clear “Wish” and have a similar personality to humans., represent Thai people. His job is to collect the coins in the game, and suddenly find out his ambition. To catch the delicious giant fish that is pranking him. After many failures, the cat learned to reach his goal again until he got what he wished.
