ศตมวาร or (satamawān) [n.] the hundredth-day rite performed one hundred days after death.

This experimental film narrates the love, memories, and bond of a married couple by depicting an ordinary day in the life of the wife on the hundredth day since her husband's passing. It is the day his spirit returns home for the last time to bid farewell and transition to a new realm, doing so through the wife's dream.

According to ancient beliefs, death or the end of a lifespan is not merely the end in this realm but is considered the beginning of another. Therefore, merit-making ceremonies are held on the 7th day, the 50th day, and the 100th day after a person's passing. These ceremonies aim to transfer the accumulated merits to the deceased, helping them journey towards a better realm or a favorable rebirth.
