ABOUT ME
I am passionate about animations and films. In my youth, I always enjoyed watching cartoons and animations and as I grew up, I realized that animations are not just for fun. They are meaningful stories that can shape an audience. So I focused on making a short animation for my project to tell my story.
This is a short story about a girl who lives in a box and about how, one day, she tries to escape that box. This project allows us to follow and support our protagonist through this short animation. This story was inspired by my own experiences in reference to when I only stayed within my comfort zone. This is an animated story that combines 2d and 3d techniques.
Oftentimes life makes us so comfortable it also keeps us from challenging ourselves and thinking beyond our comfort zones. I created a story of a girl who tries to face her fears and tries to get out of her comfort zone. This animation brings discussion about courage, facing fears and overcome them.
Character design, scene design, script writing, storytelling and animating
In general this animation is for any and all interested in animation. However, it is specifically for people struggling with routine and need to move beyond their comfort zones while dealing with issues of self confidence. Lastly, this project has been created to be entered into animation competitions like TISDC or SIGGRAPH Asia.
This project required research on story telling and animation.
