Fu Hao Collection
My major project places a lens on Chinese Zodiac animals through online entrepreneurship, branding, marketing and product creation. A digital infrastructure was constructed alongside marketing to promote products I made using a Chinese Zodiac theme related to their animal signs. By combining auspicious symbols and iconography, a product line was created to bring about fortune and luck in finance as well as boost confidence for the users.
Understanding the Chinese Zodiac for proof of pattern design was important to adapt these patterns to other media apart from just digital files. My goals were to create a motion graphic for advertising products. Also, a strong development process was needed to create a comprehensive system of visual identity and application for the product design pattern. Then a set of merchandise was developed using a look-book inspired by the Chinese Zodiac. To better understand the mood and tone, research was conducted on animals and flower drawings. Lastly, I needed to make a template of color selections for customers to customize and choose their own color on the website I built.
